First, the house is located in Sitio Mata. Sitio Mata is a
small town located 15km from Turrialba. Turrialba is the
nearest main city in this area. You can be there by car in
25 minutes or by bus in 40 minutes. In Sitio Mata you can
find some mini-markets. In any case, if you need
something else, in Turrialba you can find all the general
things that the people use to need, as Supermarkets,
Pharmacies, Gas Stations, Stores, some Medical Centers,
Universities, a Public Hospital (anyone can use it in
emergency situations), etc, and some bus stations to other
small towns and to San José, the capital of Costa Rica.
The main Medical Private Center is known as Clínica de
Especialidades Medicas Dr. Francis and is located near of
the center area of Turrialba.

The view from the house is really beatiful. You can see a
lake, a chain of montains arround the Turrialba`s Valley
(including two volcanoes, the Turrialba Volcanoe and the
Irazú Volcanoe --- you can be in the crater of any of them
in less of 3 hours, but don`t worry, the house in located in
the other site of the Valley, so there are not big risks due
to the volcanoes).

The weather in Sitio Mata is a little rainy. The temperature
is between 22 and 27 degrees celcius during all the year.

As Costa Rica is a small country, from Sitio Mata you can
be in the Atlantic coast by car in approximately 2 or 3
hours, or in 4 hours in the main beaches of the Central
Pacific Coast.

In general, Sitio Mata is a really quite place, as the
neighbords use to be to quite. You can leave even the
doors of your house open, because the place is too safe.
Every body is too friendly, and for sure you can get any
help that you could need. Some local guys can speak
english, and also you can contact us by phone to help you
to translate if needed. If you need spanish leassons, I think
that there is a local guy that can help you and also, in
Turrialba for sure we can find spanish teachers also.
